Description: Real Minero Barril is made using agave Barril (A. karwinskii), which is fairly rare to see in the international market. The name “barril” comes from how the plant looks as it is somewhat barrel shaped. This Barril is Mezcal full-bodied with notes of tropical fruit and vanilla. Edgar Angeles is the Mezcalero behind Real Minero’s Mezcal. He and his sister, (and Mezcalera) Graciela, are well-known in the Santa Catarina Minas area.
